vegan tofu dinner loaf

I really like the sauce topping for this loaf.

Ingredients

  • 2 packages tofu, firm - non gmo (mashed)
  • 4 tablespoons mckays chicken style seasoning & broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup walnuts (chopped)
  • 5 cups kashi flakes ... organic crispy rice & wheat flakes w/ trace amounts of strawberries and raspberries
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • SAUCE FOR TOP
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup ketchup

How To Make vegan tofu dinner loaf

  • Step 1
    Mash tofu with a potato masher.
  • Step 2
    Combine remaining ingredients with the tofu, mix well and put into lightly greased oblong 9 x 13 glass baking dish.
  • Step 3
    For Sauce: In medium bowl combine water and brown sugar. Stir until sugar has dissolved. Add ketchup, and mix until smooth. Pour over top of loaf.
  • Step 4
    Bake at 350 for 45 min. or until done. Watch closely so the bottom does not get over done. You can use any flakes you like this is a very forgiving recipe. If you use the flakes with strawberries and raspberries remove them before using the flakes for the loaf.
  • Step 5
    Let set for 10 minutes before serving.
