the malia sandwich- "i'm on vacation on m.v. too!

My son gave me some tomatoes from his own garden! Today(8/17/11) I made a sandwich with tomatoes, on my favorite multi-grain bread,a new brand of mustard "old-fashioned whole grain mustard", and Romaine lettuce from a local farm, and my favorite mayonnaise. What a taste sensation it was! It was perfect for a quick lunch before going to work on the afternoon-shift. Today I saw a familiar face while circling the parking lot on my way to work. She's beautiful and so special....and I named my sandwich for her! Then I made it again so that I could take this picture.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices quality bread
  • 1 - gorgeous tomato
  • 1 teaspoon whole grain/old-fashioned mustard
  • 1 teaspoon mayonnaise
  • 2 - romaine lettuce leaves

How To Make the malia sandwich- "i'm on vacation on m.v. too!

  • Step 1
    Spread the mustard on one side of one slice of bread; and spread the mayonnaise on the other slice of bread.
  • Step 2
    Add tomato on one slice of bread; top with the lettuce and the second slice of bread.
  • Step 3
    Slice the sandwich and put on a plate, pour a nice cup of something cold, and enjoy a cool-crisp yummy sandwich!
