Like the Croque-Monsieur and the Croque-Madame, I've created a grilled sandwich and, perhaps somewhat egotistically, named it after myself.

Ingredients For the croque-marie

2 slicewhite bread
-
~2 Tbspegg salad

1 slicecheese (i use emmental or swiss)

ketchup, for serving
How To Make the croque-marie

1Spread egg salad on one slice of bread, top with cheese, top with other slice of bread.

2Melt ~1 teaspoon butter or margarine in a pan and fry sandwich until golden. Flip, add more butter/margarine if necessary, and fry the other side until it is golden brown and the cheese is melted.

3Serve with ketchup.
