This dish is from my step-grandmother, Patsy Ruth. This is one of my very favorite dishes to use during the holidays, and I have yet to meet a single person who did not love this dish (even the ones who dislike sweet potatoes).

Ingredients
- CASSEROLE
- 5 large sweet potatoes
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/3 cup milk
- TOPPING
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 cup chopped pecans
How To Make sweet potato casserole (pr's recipe)

Step 1Peel potatoes and cook until tender. Whip. Add butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and milk, mixing well. Pour mixture into a 9x13 dish.

Step 2For topping: In a pan, add cream and heat to simmer. Add brown sugar and stir well until fully dissolved. Cook to gentle boil stage. Beat in melted butter and pecans. Pour over casserole

Step 3Bake at 350 for 20-30 minutes, or until bubbly on top.
