Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound ground pork
- 1/2 cup uncooked rice
- 1 - onion chopped
- 2 medium heads of cabbage
- 1 - egg
- 8 ounces tomato sauce
- 32 ounces tomatoes, canned whole
- 1/2 cup tomato juice
- - salt to pepper to taste
How To Make stuffed cabbage (golumpki)

Step 1Cook rice according to package directions. Simmer cabbage in boiling water to soften cabbage leaves,pull off as they get soft and set aside. Chopped remaining cabbage and set aside. Saute onions in butter till soft. Simmer chopped cabbage in boiling water till partially tender. set aside.

Step 2Mix meat, onions, rice, beaten eggs and seasoning to taste. Put a small amount of meat on each cabbage leave and roll up, fasten with a toothpick.

Step 3SAUCE: Mix all tomato ingredients together and bring to a boil. When making the sauce make sure you have enough sauce to cover all the stuffed cabbages and chopped cabbage. You can always add more tomato sauce or juice.

Step 4In a large roasting pan layer chopped cabbage some sauce then the cabbage rolls,then more sauce,the rest of the chopped cabbage and then the rest of the sauce.

Step 5Cover the roasting pan and bake for 2 hours at 350 degree oven.
