My Dad always made fried cabbage and it was always really, good but got this recipe and tried it and it blows away fried cabbage it is the Chicken Broth that does the trick I think.

Ingredients
- 1 - head of cabbage
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 4 teaspoons sugar (optional)
How To Make simmered cabbage.

Step 1Direct Heat Oil & Butter in a large pot, till melted

Step 2Add chopped cabbage, salt, & pepper, stirring over low heat for 5 Minutes.

Step 3Pour in the broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to med-low, cover, and allow to continue cooking for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until tender.

Step 4Raise heat to Medium, Uncover, and cook until the liquids have reduced to half.
