I learned this recipe from my mother 12 years ago and put my own spin on it. Perfect for winter and cold, rainy nights.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 4 cans mixed vegetables
  • 1 bottle vegetable juice
  • 1 bottle tomato juice
  • 1 package onion soup mix
  • 1 tablespoon salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons garlic
  • 1 tablespoon szechuan five spice
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

How To Make semi-homemade vegetable soup

  • Step 1
    In a large pot add your ground beef, seasonings, and garlic. Brown ground beef.
  • Step 2
    After beef has browned, drain the grease. Place ground beef back into the pot.
  • Step 3
    Add 1 46oz bottle or can of vegetable juice and tomato juice, onion soup mix, and vegetables into the pot.
  • Step 4
    Stir all of the ingredients together and allow the soup to heat through.
