- 3-4 tablespoons vegetable oil or ghee
- 4 - carrots, thinly sliced
- 1 - onion, thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1/2 - head cabbage, shredded
- 5 - red potatoes, peeled and cut into 1 inch pieces
How To Make sauteed cabbage and potatoes ethiopian-style

Step 1In a medium skillet, heat the oil or ghee over medium heat. Add the onion and carrots and saute in oil for approx. 5 minutes.

Step 2Add seasonings and cabbage and cook another 15 - 20 minutes.

Step 3Stir in red potatoes; cover and cook over medium-low for 15-20 minutes longer or until potatoes are tender.
