I LOVE India Food. One of my most favorite places to eat in my area is a resturant called " A Taste of INDIA'. This is my take of a vegetable burger using spices used alot in India's cooking. I get my spices from Chicago "The Spice House". ENJOY !

Ingredients

  • 4 medium potatoes, mashed
  • 1/4 cup mixed vegetables mashed
  • 1 tablespoon turmeric, ground
  • 1 teaspoon cumin ground
  • 1 teaspoon coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon gara masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/4 - mango ripe and mashed ( sometime i will use peaches )
  • 1/4 cup grated paneer or mexican cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon (asafoetida) or onion & garlic powder mixed
  • 2 teaspoons cilantro, fresh if you can get it
  • 1/4 teaspoon fennel seeds
  • - bread crumbs for coating burgers
  • - oil for frying

How To Make reethy's india veggie burger

  • Step 1
    Place ALL ingredients in large bowl. Mix well together.
  • Step 2
    Form patties
  • Step 3
    coat with bread crumbs
  • Step 4
    Place in freezer for (1 hour)
  • Step 5
    Heat oil in frying pan
  • Step 6
    Fry until golden brown on each side Biuld your burger as desired.
  • Step 7
    ENJOY !
