Baby Peanut


My mom gave me a big bag of quinoa in January, I just started to tackle it. I saved several recipes from fellow cooks here. I concocted this the other night, I think it is a very basic & flexible recipe, kind of a what do I have in the house or what do I feel like throwing in kind of thing :) Have fun & enjoy! My next one will be with small red beans & onions.

1/2 c
quinoa, dry
1 c
water or broth
3 - 4 clove
garlic, minced
1 can(s)
chick peas, drained
1 tsp
olive oil

How to Make Quinoa & Chick Peas


  • 1Bring water or broth to a boil, add quinoa and garlic. Lower to a simmer, cook for about 25 minutes until quinoa is nice & fluffy.
  • 2Add chick peas and olive oil, mix & serve.
