Ingredients

3 Tbspbacon grease

1/4 cdiced onion

1/2 tspsalt

1/2 tspwhite pepper

1 tspgarlic powder

1/4 tspdried thyme

1/4 tspcelery seed

1/4 call purpose flour
-
12 ozcan evaporated milk or cream
-
3 ozpkg. softened cream cheese, cut in chunks

3/4 cbroth- flavor depends on type of protein or vegetables you are using
-
2 ccooked shredded meat or seafood or chopped vegetables
-
1 1/2 cfrozen peas and carrots ,thawed

1 Tbspchopped fresh parsley

4 largebuttermilk biscuits, texas toast or thick garlic toast
How to Make Old Fashioned Cream Sauce
- Stir in the 2 cups of whatever you are using , such as chicken or seafood or just asparagus, etc. If meat or seafood is used, stir in the thawed peas and carrots and cook until heated through and vegetables are tender. Remove from heat; stir in parsley. Serve over split country biscuits of thick toasted garlic toast or Texas toast.
