norma's cilantro-garlic shrimp

Last night had a hunger for shrimp.So I sent Woody to the store for some fresh shrimp and came up with this idea on how I was going to fix them. Well, we both loved it and it will go into my recipe box to be used again for sure.

Ingredients

  • 1 - 13.25 package of your favorite pasta ( i used angel hair )
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, extra virgin
  • 1 pound peeled and deveined large shrimp
  • 6 - garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1/ teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup coarsely shopped fresh cilantro

How To Make norma's cilantro-garlic shrimp

  • Step 1
    Cook pasta as directed on package.
  • Step 2
    While pasta is cooking. Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Step 3
    Add shrimp and garlic and saute 5 minutes or until shrimp are done.
  • Step 4
    Add lemon juice,salt, and pepper and cook 1 minute.
  • Step 5
    Remove from heat and add cilantro.
  • Step 6
    Drain pasta; place shrimp over pasta and serve hot.
