naturally fresh avocado sandwich

I first had this sandwich at a health food restaurant. Came home and recreated it adding the red onion and some sliced turkey for the Hubs. I prefer mine just as is, with just those naturally fresh veggies. I do frequently add a slice of cheese. NOTE: Forgot cheese in original ingredient posting. Will not let me edit ingredients. Cheese slice should be after sliced avocado in list of ingredients. Omit or add anything according to your preference.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices wheat or cooks choice bread
  • - mayonnaise, to taste
  • 1/4 pound deli sliced turkey breast (optional)
  • 2 slices red onion rings
  • 2 slices tomato
  • 1/2 cup alfalfa sprouts
  • 1 - leaf of lettuce, cooks choice
  • 1/2 small avocado, thinly sliced

How To Make naturally fresh avocado sandwich

  • Step 1
    Spread mayo on both slices of bread. Add turkey, if using. Next add onion slices. Place tomato slices on top of onion. Arrange sprouts on tomato. Place lettuce leaf on top of sprouts. Add avocado slices and optional cheese; top with remaining piece of bread.

    Serving Note: This sandwich is also yummy on toasted bread. For a pretty presentation, slice sandwich into 4 triangle pieces. Secure with toothpick to hold together,
