This is my second entry in the Mother's Day sandwich challenge, I had to do two cause I couldn't decide which one I liked better.

M - Mango Compote
O - onion
T - tomato
H - Horseradish
E - Egg
R - Roast Beef
S - Sharp Cheddar

D - Dill Pickle
A - Artisan Bread
Y - yellow pepper

    m - mango compote (1 med mango, 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/4 c water))
  • ·
    o - onion, sliced thinly
  • ·
    t - tomato, sliced
  • ·
    h - horseradish, creamy style
  • ·
    e - egg, boiled and sliced
  • ·
    r - roast beef, deli sliced
  • ·
    s - sharp cheddar
  • ·
  • ·
    d - dill pickle
  • ·
    a - artisan bread, sliced lengthwise
  • ·
    y - yellow pepper, sliced

How to Make Mother's Day Beef and Mango Compote Sammy


  1. place mango, water and sugar in sauce pan and reduce until thickened enough to spread
  2. slather mango compote on both sides of the bread, place cheese slices on one half and roast beef on the other half, spread horseradish onto roast beef and then layer the rest of the ingredients equally across the middle, flip top onto bottom, cut into as many servings as desired.
