Ingredients
- 9 ounces of lentils soaked in water for a few hours
- 1 small onion thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped cilantro
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of tomato paste
- 4 cloves of garlic minced
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of cumin
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
How To Make moroccan lentils

Step 1add the olive oil, onions ,tomato paste, garlic, and spices to your pan.

Step 2Stir all the ingredients, cover your pan and cook for 5 minutes on medium heat.

Step 3Drain the lentils from the water where they were soaking and add them to the pan. Mix all the ingredients well.

Step 4Add water to your pan until the lentil mixture is covered. Cover your pan and let the lentils cook for 30 minutes on medium heat. Stir from time to time. Check on the water level and add more water if necessary. There should always be some sauce in the pan.

Step 5After 30 minutes taste the sauce and adjust the salt and pepper and cimin accordingly.

Step 6Add the chopper cilantro and parsley to the lentils. Stir well . Cover the pan and cook the lentils for another 10 minutes or until the lentils are done

Step 7serving; Serv hot with bread . You can also add some hot sauce if you like spicy
