The first several times I had this dish, my dear Aunt made it. She has been making it for over 50 years! My Mother makes it, and now so do I! Our whole family loves it! It's really hearty, easy and tasty and different from other bean recipes I've had or made. I hope you enjoy! My First Post here!! Thanks for the opportunity and for sharing your recipes!!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 tablespoons chopped onion
  • 1 can whole tomatoes (16 oz)
  • 2 cans pork and beans (16 oz cans)
  • 1 tablespoon prepared mustard, or to taste
  • 2 tablespoons molasses, or to taste

How To Make meal-in-a-fry pan

  • Step 1
    Brown beef in hot oil; drain. Stir in onions, tomatoes beans, and seasonings. Cover; reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent scorching. *More or less prepared mustard may be used to taste.
