kielbasa, sauerkraut, and dumplings

A very hearty one pot meal that was a childhood favorite. It can also feed a crowd by adding just a little more to the pot. Also look for a good quality polish kielbasa if you can find a butcher shop that makes their own all the better. I have a couple in the Cleveland area that will ship to California for me with a minimum order. If you contact me I'll give you the names. I make this with Smoked Pork Chops instead of Kielbasa too, also very tasty.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds polish kielbasa
  • 2 quarts sauerkraut ( if you have homade even better)
  • 1 - "sinker dumpling" recipe from my recipe box
  • 12oz cans beer

How To Make kielbasa, sauerkraut, and dumplings

  • Step 1
    Add sauerkraut to dutch oven
  • Step 2
    slice and add kielbasa
  • Step 3
    add dumplings
  • Step 4
    add beer
  • Step 5
    bring to a boil, reduce to a low boil until most of the liquid has reduced. About 1 hour.
