impossible cheeseburger pie - revised

Everytime I went to visit my gram, she would have a batch of this ready for me when I arrived because it was my favorite! I have long since taken her original recipe and tweaked it a couple of times to be the recipe I am going to share today!! I hope you enjoy it as much as me and my friends do!!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground chicken
  • 1 - sweet onion
  • 4 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 2 - kosher dill pickle spears
  • 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 cup sharp feta cheese crumbled
  • 4 - eggs
  • 1 cup bisquick mix
  • 2 cups milk

How To Make impossible cheeseburger pie - revised

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 400 chop onion and mince garlic and put in a saute pan with 2 tbsp olive oil. cook until the onion is translucent
  • Step 2
    Once onion is translucent, add the ground chicken (or beef if you prefer) and cook until meat is done cooking
  • Step 3
    finely chop the pickle spears and mix into the meat mixture and let cool
  • Step 4
    mix together milk, eggs and bisquick mix till it's combined, should be a thin consistency so it will run through the meat in the pan.
  • Step 5
    put meat mixture into a baking dish, and sprinkle both cheddar and feta cheese on top of it, and then pour in the wet mixture.
  • Step 6
    make sure the wet mixture is throughout the baking pan.
  • Step 7
    Put into the oven and bake for 35 minutes. Pull out, slice and ENJOY!!!!
