feta cheese sandwiches

I had this sandwich at my favorite Cuban bakery nearby. My brother makes them at home. So simple and delicious!! I make a whole sandwich and slice into 1-2 inch slices on the bias. Great for appetizers.

- - french baguette
- - fresh basil
- - tomatoes,sliced
- - red onion,thinly sliced
- - italian dressing
- ITALIAN DRESSING
- 1 cup vinegar (any type, wine vinegar, rice vinegar, etc.
- 1 1/3 cups oil (i use half olive oil,half canola oil)
- 2 cloves garlic,minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 pound feta,sliced
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried or fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon salt
How To Make feta cheese sandwiches

Step 1To make Italian dressing: Pour ingredients into a glass jar or bottle with a cover. Cover and shake well. Refrigerate. Place feta,basil,tomato slices and onion on one slice of baguette.Sprinkle with dressing. Top with other baguette. Wrap in plastic wrap,let sit an hour to meld flavors.
