Ingredients

1 pkg
saltine crackers; inner package, square/sleeve
1 can(s)
mushroom pieces
2
eggs
1 can(s)
campbell's cr of mushroom soup
splash of milk
salt and pepper to taste
1 stick
butter

How to Make Faux Morels

Step-by-Step

  • 1Crush the crackers, using either a food processor or a rolling pin.....you don't want them super fine
  • 2gently whisk the eggs, just a stir really. add the eggs, mushroom pieces, cr of mushroom soup to the crackers and stir. add milk if needed, you don't want this too soupy, drier is better
  • 3melt the butter in the skillet, hot, but not smoking
  • 4drop by tablespoon fulls into hot oil brown on both sides until golden, drain on paper towel. These will even somewhat resemble mushrooms...enjoy
