I adore Falafel wraps! This is probably my all time favorite vegan dish! I'm not a vegetarian in fact, I'm a total carnivore! Hardly a day goes by that I don't eat meat, but when something is good, its good and that's that! Let me tell you, this is good. You can certainly follow the baking directions for a bit less fat. The one's pictured here are baked not fried. Hope y'all enjoy these as much as I do!

How to Make Falafel Pita Wraps

Step-by-Step

  1. Soak your Garbanzo Beans in water over night, then rinse.
  2. Run all ingredients through a food processor until very finely ground and well blended.
  3. Shape into patties
  4. Pan Fry Directions: Heat 1/4 inch of olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add falafel patties and fry for about 7 minutes per side or until crispy and browned.
  5. Baking Directions: Coat a jelly roll pan with 3-4 Tbsp. olive oil and bake in a 375 degree, preheated oven for 13 minutes. Turn and bake for another 13 minutes or until crisp and browned on both sides. Add more oil if desired for crispier falafel.
  6. To make a pita wrap: Warm pitas by wrapping them in aluminum foil and placing them in a 375 degree oven for about 10 minutes or so.
  7. Spread 2 Tbsp. hummus onto pita bread. Add two falafel patties. Drizzle with a bit of tahini sauce. Load up with veggies of your choice. Fold pita into a wrap sandwich and enjoy!
