This is a twist on the average recipe, it turns a side dish into the main course and is soooo satisfying!

Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 medium onion,chopped
  • 1 - head green cabbage
  • 1/2 pound ground beef, lean
  • 1/2 pound whole hog sausage(if not available bob evans bulk is just fine.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper each
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 3/4 package wide egg noodles, cooked

How To Make dinner time cabbage and noodles

  • Step 1
    Melt a tsp of butter in a Dutch oven or any large pan with a lid.
  • Step 2
    Chop the onion and cabbage.
  • Step 3
    Brown lightly the ground beef and the sausage in the skillet with butter;remove from pan,set aside.
  • Step 4
    Combine the cabbage and onion and place into the pan.
  • Step 5
    Add salt, pepper, and garlic to cabbage and onion.
  • Step 6
    Cut up the remaining stick of butter and add to cabbage and onion; place lid on the pan and cook for 15 min.
  • Step 7
    Add the sausage and ground beef to the pan, stirring all ingredients together; continue cooking 15 min. On low heat, and there you have a side dish of traditional cabbage and noodles turned into a main course! Now enjoy. Simple and easy and goes well with a glass of rose wine!

    Add noodles,mix through.
