Ingredients
- 1 pound dry small red beans
- 1 teaspoon bacon grease
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 stalks celery, chopped
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 pound diced ham
- 1 pound smoked sausage, sliced
- 2-3 tablespoons creole seasoning (i use tony chachere's)
- 3 - bay leaves
- - hot cooked white rice
How To Make crock pot red beans and rice

Step 1Soak beans overnight.

Step 2Rinse beans and put in the crock pot and cover with water. Add all chopped celery and onion, garlic & onion powder, creole seasoning, bacon grease bay leaves. Turn slow cooker on high.

Step 3Cook beans for 3-4 hours. Add smoked sausage and ham.

Step 4Turn the heat to low and cook for another hour or so until beans are tender and liquid has thickened.

Step 5Ladle red beans over hot cooked white rice.
