Ingredients
- 2 cups chickpeas
- 3 medium pureed onions
- 5 medium pureed tomato
- 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
- 2 teaspoons chole masala powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/3 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 2 teaspoons cooking oil
- 1/2 tablespoon salt
How To Make chole (chickpeas) recipe

Step 1Soak the chickpeas overnight with enough water.

Step 2Next morning drain and wash them. Pressure cooked then adding little salt. Cook them for 8 - 10 whistles.

Step 3Remove and let the steam pass naturally. Then open the lid and drain then. Keep the water reserved to use in gravy.

Step 4Heat oil in a skillet and fry the onion till light brown.

Step 5Add the ginger garlic paste and fry till the raw smell of ginger garlic paste goes off.

Step 6Add the pureed tomato and cook for 7 - 8 minutes. Then add the spices, salt and boiled chickpeas.

Step 7Cook them for 10 minutes till the gravy thicken. Remove and serve hot.
