Wanting some chili but tired of the same old recipe I've used for years I decided to change it up a bit. I used some extra spices and a different kind of liquid. I was very pleased with the results. A nice change!

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground chuck
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 medium green pepper, chopped
- 2 small tomatoes, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt or to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 3/4 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 dash taco seasoning
- 2 cans chili beans, mild or hot
- 2 cups v-8 juice
- 1/2 cup elbow macaroni

Step 1In a medium to large kettle, brown ground chuck over medium heat.

Step 2When the meat starts to lose its pink color, add the onions and peppers.

Step 3Lower heat and simmer uncovered until meat is browned and vegetables are tender.

Step 4Add chopped tomatoes, beans, juice and seasonings. Stir well to blend. Increase heat.

Step 5When mixture starts to boil slightly, add macaroni and stir well.

Step 6Reduce heat again and simmer chili until macaroni is tender, about 20 minutes.
