Wanting some chili but tired of the same old recipe I've used for years I decided to change it up a bit. I used some extra spices and a different kind of liquid. I was very pleased with the results. A nice change!

How To Make chili by ellen - reinvented

  • Some of my chili's ingredients.
    Step 1
In a medium to large kettle, brown ground chuck over medium heat.
  • Step 2
When the meat starts to lose its pink color, add the onions and peppers.
  • Step 3
Lower heat and simmer uncovered until meat is browned and vegetables are tender.
  • Step 4
Add chopped tomatoes, beans, juice and seasonings. Stir well to blend. Increase heat.
  • Step 5
When mixture starts to boil slightly, add macaroni and stir well.
  • Step 6
Reduce heat again and simmer chili until macaroni is tender, about 20 minutes.
