Chicken & Shrimp Stir Fry

Ingredients
-
4 or 5spring onions, sliced 1/4 inch thick

1 csliced, red, green, yellow and orange peppers
-
1/2 ccelery, cut into match sticks

1/2 ccarrots, cut into match sticks
-
1 largeclove of garlic, minced
-
1 cmushrooms, fresh sliced
-
1 1/2 cbroccoli, cut into small pieces
-
1/4 cfrozen baby peas
-
4 to 6 Tbspvegetable oil, divided
-
·chinese five spice powder
-
1 1/2 Tbspcorn starch
-
1 cvegetable broth or chicken broth
-
1 tspchicken soup base
-
1 tspteriyaki sauce
-
1 pkg9 oz. size of chicken & prosciutto tortelloni
-
1 cdiced baked chicken or raw & sliced
-
1/2 cfresh or frozen shrimp, cleaned
-
·hot water
-
1/2 tsplemon grass, comes in tubes
How to Make Chicken & Shrimp Stir Fry
- Prepare all the vegetable and meat.
- Mix the sauce: corn starch, vegetable or chicken broth, soup base, teriyaki sauce & lemon grass, dash of Five spice. Taste. If to strong, add some hot water a tblsp. at a time. Set aside.
- Use a large stir fry pan or a large fry pan. Turn on heat and add oil, when hot
add the celery, carrots and peppers. Stir fry to two minutes and then add onions and garlic. Stir fry till they start to darken in color but still crisp. Remove to a bowl. - Now add a little more oil, add the mushrooms and stir till both sides have softened. Add broccoli and peas, stir broccoli until its crisp tender.
Now add the chicken & shrimp. Stir until shrimp and chicken are done. - Add back rest of vegetables and sprinkle a little five spice and stir. Now stir the sauce base to mix and add to the vegetables and meat. If it gets to thick add some hot water. Stir thoroughly and pour into a bowl or large platter. May serve with rice.
