butter meat

We call it butter meat because it melts like butter in your mouth! I have also added cream of mushroom soup for a variation. A friend added milk...she said it was awesome...so...roll with it how you like, but we LOVE it!!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound venison tenderloin
  • 1 package onion soup mix
  • 4 medium potatoes, cubed
  • 2 cans 8oz tomato sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • - salt and pepper to taste
  • - cooked rice (to pour "butter meat" over)

How To Make butter meat

  • Step 1
    Thaw deer tenderloin, rinse and put in crock pot.
  • Step 2
    Add onion soup mix, tomato sauce, water and stir.
  • Step 3
    Add potatoes, salt and pepper.
  • Step 4
    Place lid on crock pot,cook on low all day or high 4 hours or so.
  • Step 5
    Cook rice and spoon "Butter Meat" over rice. Serve with green salad and buttery biscuits.
