Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 - celery stalk, chopped
- 1 - onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 can black beans, 15 oz, rinsed and drained
- - (or 1 1/2 cup or less cooked black beans)
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1/2 cup almond meal
- - salt and pepper
How To Make black bean burgers

Step 1Grease a large, rimmed baking sheet. Preheat oven to 375

Step 2Heat skillet over medium -high heat; add oil, celery and onion. Stir 5 minutes. Add garlic and saute 1 minute longer.

Step 3Pour beans into a bowl and mash into a thick paste. Add celery mixture, egg, cumin and almond meal. Season with salt and pepper. Form into smallish burger patties; place on baking sheet and bake until firm and set, about 10 minutes on EACH side - do NOT turn until burger are set on the bottom and firming.
