Ingredients For bayou biryani

  • 1 to 2 c
    basamati rice
  • 15 oz can
    cuban black beans (tjs) undrained
  • 15 oz can
    corn drained
  • 8 oz can
    diced green chiles undrained
  • 3 to 4
    andouille sausages (chicken)
  • cajun seasoning and tabasco to taste
  • shredded pepper jack cheese
  • chopped fresh cilantro

How To Make bayou biryani

  • 1
    Cook rice in rice cooker or according to directions.
  • 2
    Mix black beans, drained corn and green chilies together in small dish, microwave about 2 minutes unil hot. Slice sausage, cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
  • 3
    Put bean misture on top of rice, top with sausage, cheese and cilantro. Add cajun seasoning and hot sauce to taste.
