They scoured the beach for food, finding bananas, coconuts, berries, wild boar. From the salvaged wreck they found rum, gunpowder and other non food items. The designated cook came up with this tasty dish that is still enjoyed today.

Ingredients

  • - 8 slices boiled ham
  • - 4 bananas
  • - 1/2 c. rum
  • - 1 tbsp butter

How To Make bahamain castaway - frizzled ham & bananas

  • Step 1
    Cook ham in butter for a minute or two and remove from heat.
  • Step 2
    Cut bananas in half lengthwise and cook in same pan as ham until slightly brown on both sides.
  • Step 3
    Arrange bananas and ham on a heated platter.
  • Step 4
    Heat rum slightly, light and pour over bananas and ham.
