When I was about 14-years-old I saw this recipe in some magazine and thought it sounded good. I brought it to my mom and asked her to make it. She did and we thought it was good and it became a regular dish on our table. Serve this with green sauce on the side and a salad.

Ingredients
- 4 slices bacon
- 1/2 - bell pepper, chopped
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 can cream style corn
- 1 can tamales
- - grated cheese
How To Make tamale pie

Step 1Fry slices of bacon until crisp and set aside.

Step 2Pour off some of the grease and saute bell pepper and onion.

Step 3Cut up a can of tamales and place in a 9 x 13 casserole dish.

Step 4Crumble bacon in a can of cream style corn, mix with sauteed bell pepper-onion mixture, and pour over tamales.

Step 5Grate cheese over the top. Bake in hot 400-450° oven until heated through and cheese is melted.
