Here's our all-purpose Southwestern seasoning for tacos, burritos, just about everything. It's great on burgers, too and adds a spark to shredded beef or chicken in salads and sandwiches. If you're making ground/shredded beef pork or chicken, add a couple tablespoons of this seasoning for each pound and a half and cook it with half a cup of water to help it penetrate the meat.

  • 6 Tbsp
    new mexico chili powder (mild, medium or hot - your choice)
  • 2 Tbsp
    kosher salt
  • 2 Tbsp
    freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp
    freshly ground cumin
  • 1 Tbsp
    paprika (not smoked)
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    onion powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    dried mexican oregano

How to Make Spring Hill Ranch Southwestern Seasoning

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine all ingredients. For best results, run the ingredients through a mill or spice grinder for an even consistency. Store in an airtight glass jar and store in a cool, dark place. Maintains freshness for about 6 months.
