Ingredients

  • 16 oz cans red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 - onion, small and coarsely chopped
  • 1 - carrot, steamed and mashed
  • 5/8 cup picante sauce
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder

How To Make spicy mexican bean burger

  • Step 1
    Mix all ingredients together. Add more flour to create a firmer mixture, or more salsa if mixture is too stiff.
  • Step 2
    Form into balls and smash into patties. Bake at 450 degrees for 15-20 minutes, until firm, brown and done.
  • Step 3
    Serve on whole wheat bun with lettuce, tomato and salsa.
