ro's rice an beans

I decided to make my own flare for rice an beans. I must say this is OUTSTANDING! The taste left you wanting more! Those who tried it gave glowing reviews. So I decided to post it here and send to taste of home. Really happy with the outcome. Hope you will give it a try!

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons evoo
  • dash salt
  • dash pepper
  • 1 large onion diced
  • 1 large green bell pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder (more to taste)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder (more to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 can 15 oz cannellini beans
  • 1 can 15 oz black beans
  • 1 can 15 oz kidney beans
  • 1 can 7 oz herdez salsa
  • 1 can 6 oz tomato paste
  • 1 package goya sazon seasoning (small packet)
  • 4 cups cooked rice

How To Make ro's rice an beans

  • Step 1
    In a large sauté pan over med high heat, add the evoo and sauté the onions and green pepper till softened. Add salt an pepper,garlic an onion powders. Lower your gas to med and add the minced garlic.
  • Step 2
    Add all the beans ,stir well. Add the Sazon , salsa and the paste.Raise the flame just a bit till it bubbles, lower to med low and stir well to make sure the paste is not lumpy.
  • Out of this world Rice an Beans!
    Step 3
    Once all ingredients are combined, put the cooked rice in a plate and serve a big helping of the beans on top.
