Broccoli with Tomatoes

Ingredients

2 tspbutter, unsalted (or olive oil if you prefer)

1-2 clovegarlic, minced
-
1 can(s)14.5 oz. diced tomatoes w/chiles, do not drain (italian style would also work well)
-
1/8-1/4 cfresh cilantro, chopped (or basil if using italian style tomatoes)
-
1 1/2 lbbroccoli florets
-
·salt and pepper, to taste
How to Make Broccoli with Tomatoes
- Melt butter in a large, non-reactive saucepan over medium high heat.
- Add garlic, tomatoes and cilantro; simmer uncovered 2-3 minutes.
- Add broccoli, and salt and pepper to taste.
- Reduce heat to medium.
Cover and simmer 7-8 minutes or until broccoli is tender.
