Ingredients
- 1/2 stick butter
- 2 stalks celery, finely chopped
- 1 small onion, finely chopped`
- 1 large carrot, peeled and grated
- 1 large golden delicious apple, peeled, cored and finely chopped
- 2 pounds ground turkey
- 1 - egg
- 2/3 cup unsweetened applesauce (divided)
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
- 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
- 2 teaspoons honey
- 3/4 teaspoon sage
- 1/2 teaspoon rosemary
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon marjoram
- dash - nutmeg
- to taste - salt & pepper
How To Make loaded turkey loaf

Step 1Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Spray a 9 x 13 inch baking dish with cooking spray.

Step 2Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook celery, onion and carrot, stirring occasionally, until veggies are tender. (about 2 mins.)

Step 3Add apple and cook 2 more minutes. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature. (about 10 minutes)

Step 4In a large bowl, mix together turkey, egg,1/3 cup applesauce, milk, bread drumbs and seasonings.

Step 5Add onion mixture and stir gently until just combined. Transfer to the prepared baking dish and shape into a 9 x 5 inch loaf.

Step 6In a small bowl, stir together mustard, honey and 1/3 cup applesauce.

Step 7Spread over top and sides of the loaf.

Step 8Bake foe 30 minutes.

Step 9Reduce temperature to 375 degrees and cook for 25 minutes more or until done.

Step 10Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
