Ingredients

  • 1 pound cold turkey cubed
  • 4 small onions chopped
  • 1 - leek chopped
  • 1 - carrot chopped
  • 1 - rutagbaga or turnip chopped
  • 4 small potatoes chopped
  • - salt and pepper
  • 1/2 cup stock
  • 1 cup gravy
  • 2 - pie crusts homemade or refrigerated
  • HOT WATER PASTRY CRUST
  • 2 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk or whole milk
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 4 tablespoons lard(crisco)
  • 3/4 cup boiling water

How To Make twrci mewn blanced(turkey pie)

  • Step 1
    line a pie dish with a warm pastry pie crust(recipe included)
  • Step 2
    Placed diced turkey, onion and the other vegetables cut up small in the crust with salt and pepper with stoick and gravy.
  • Step 3
    Seal the pie with the top crust. Brush with beaten egg and bake i n moderate oven 350*F until browned and vegetables are cooked about 1 hour.
  • Step 4
    HOT WATER PASTRY CRUST
  • Step 5
    MIX ALL INGREDIENTS IN FOOD PROCESSOR OR STAND MIXER UNTIL IT RESEMBLES CORASE MEAL
  • Step 6
    Slowly add water to the dough and continue mixing until you have a smooth dough
  • Step 7
    Roll out and make two crusts.
