Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1 small onion, minced
  • 1 small green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 - stalk celery, diced
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 2 cups crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons dry mustard
  • 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 dash hot sauce, or more to your liking
  • 4 - toasted hamburger buns

How To Make turkey sloppy joe's

  • Step 1
    Heat oil in lg skillet over medium heat. Add onion, green bell pepper and celery. Cook, stirring until soft.
  • Step 2
    Add ground turkey and cook, stirring until browned. Add tomatoes, brown sugar, mustard, worcestershire sauce and hot sauce.
  • Step 3
    Bring to a simmer, reduce heat and cook until mix is thickened, about 10 mins. Serve over buns.
