These burgers are very tasty and easy to make. They can be made with low fat cheese and whole wheat buns to lower the fat and calories even more. Or you can bake a loaf of store bought garlic bread, slice and use that for the "bun"

Ingredients

  • 1 package - turkey italians (5 links)
  • 1/2 cup - italian bread crumbs
  • 1 large - egg
  • 1/4 cup - parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup - milk
  • - pasta or pizza sauce of choice
  • 6 slices - mozzarella cheese
  • 6 - hamburger buns

How To Make turkey italian meatball burgers

  • Step 1
    Remove turkey Italians from casing and put into a mixing bowl
  • Step 2
    Add breadcrumbs, egg, parm cheese and milk. Mix well by hand.
  • Step 3
    Shape into 6 patties (the mixture will be sticky, oiling your hands with a little cooking oil of choice works well)
  • Step 4
    Spray or oil frypan or grill pan add patties
  • Step 5
    Fry or grill burgers until they reach 165 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Step 6
    Add a couple table spoons of sauce and a slice of cheese to each burger.
  • Step 7
    Cover for a minute or so until cheese melts.
  • Step 8
    Place burger on toasted hamburger bun and enjoy!
