Ingredients
- 12 ounces vegetarian meat (i use yves)
- 1 cup quick oats
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup onion finely diced
- - salt, to taste
- - pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 packages brown gravy
- - flour
- - cooking oil
How To Make vegetarian salisbury steak
-
Step 1Combine quick oats, milk and egg. Allow to set a few minutes so oatmeal can absorb milk and egg.
-
Step 2Next add vegetarian meat crumbles into mix. Stir add salt, pepper, garlic and onion. Mix.
-
Step 3Form mix into six equal sized balls.
-
Step 4Roll ball in flour coating well. Then flatten into patty. Add more flour if necessary. (This helps keep burger from crumbling!!)
-
Step 5Place in frying pan over medium heat. Fry until golden brown. (Make sure when you flip burger there is enough oil. If there isn't, add more!) Place in dish.
-
Step 6Follow directions on packets of brown gravy mix. Cover the patties well. Enjoy!
