perfectly broiled steak

Recipe by

My mom broiled either T-bone or NY strip steaks that would melt in your mouth. She was lucky enough to have a gas stove with a broiler on the bottom. It is more difficult to use an electric stove but it can be done. Also this recipe takes time so do not rush the broiling time or it will not turn out right. Hope you enjoy.

Set broiler temp to 275 degrees. Broil steaks turning them over every 30 minutes and repeating the butter. Continue doing this until meat is at the required doneness. We eat our steak medium well so the cook time should be approximately 2 hours.
