Ingredients
- 2 pounds deer steak
- 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup cooking oil
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 1/2 cups ketchup or substitute less tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice or vinegar
- 2 tablespoons worchestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons mustard
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
How To Make bbq venison steak

Step 1Saute onion in oil until tender. Mix in remaining ingredients; except brown sugar. Simmer for 20 minutes.

Step 2Meanwhile, tenderize steak and brown in cast iron skillet.

Step 3Place steak in baking dish, sprinkle with brown sugar and top with sauce. Cover baking dish with lid or foil and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
