Hot Capicola is a well-seasoned, slightly spicy roasted ham deli meat. It pairs really well with the Arugula Rocket I chose for this sandwich. With fresh sliced tomato, onion, cheese, and a little olive oil mayo - this sandwich puts your taste buds in flight(:

hot capicola, thin deli sliced
4 slice
french bread, thinly sliced, or your favorite white bread
handful arugula rocket leaves, stem and stem spine removed from leaves
4 slice
2 slice
onion, sliced thin
2 Tbsp
olive oil mayo - i used miracle whip
2 slice
pepper jack cheese, you can use provolone if you want to reduce the spiciness

How to Make The "Rocket Man" Sammie


  • 1Spread olive oil mayo on bread. I chose Miracle Whip for the sweet and tangy flavor it adds to the sandwich. It's a nice contrast to the spice.
  • 2Top two slices of bread with about 4 slices of capicola. I like to fold them over slightly as shown.
  • 3Top with sliced onion, cheese, arugula, and tomato. Salt and pepper tomato if desired.
  • 4Top with other slice of bread and enjoy!
