sweet and sour spareribs
My mom worked in a Chinese Restaurant when I was a little girl. This recipe was given to her by the chef. It's a family favorite and loved by many.

Ingredients
- 2/3 cup water
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- few - drops hot pepper sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 - onions, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic cut in halves
- 5 pounds spareribs cut 21/2 x 1 inches
- 6 tablespoons brown sugar
How To Make sweet and sour spareribs

Step 1Combine water, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, hot pepper sauce, paprika and brown sugar. Mix well.

Step 2Melt butter in stock pot over medium-heat. Add garlic and onions. Saute until onions are tender. Add brown sugar mixture. Bring to boil then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.

Step 3Place ribs in shallow baking dish, cover with sauce. Bake uncovered at 400 degrees for 75 minutes, basting occasionally.
