Ingredients
- 4 slices bacon
- 3 pounds boneless pork loin chops, 1/2"-thick
- 2 teaspoons garlic and herb seasoning, like mrs. dash
- 1/4 teaspoon salt and pepper
- 1/2 cup flour
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 small onion, diced
- 8 ounces portabella mushrooms
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 3 cups milk, i used fat free
- 1 tablespoon thyme leaves, crushed, divided
- - oil, like canola
How To Make smothered pork chops w/ bacon and mushrooms

Step 1Cook bacon in lg skillet, over med-high heat. Drain on paper towels, let cool, crumble, set aside. In small bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup flour , 1 tsp garlic and herb seasoning, salt and pepper.

Step 2Season the chops w/ flour mix. In lg skillet, add a little oil and brown chops 2 mins, each side. Remove chops from pan. Add onion, mushrooms, worcestershire sauce and 1/2 the thyme to skillet. Scrape the bits up from skillet. Add remaining garlic and herbs and 1/2 tsp salt.

Step 3Cook, stirring 10 mins.Add garlic, cook 1 min. Sprinkle onion and mushrooms w/ 1/4 cup flour. Cook over med-low until flour is dissolved. Add milk, slowly while stirring over med-high heat until it starts to thicken. Mix in remaining thyme, add chops to pan, simmer 10 mins. Sprinkle w/ bacon.
