sherry's awesome pulled pork chili

I got this recipe from a can of Bush's beans, but put my own ideas into it. It is so wonderful, everyone seems to love it. Warning: This is very hot, as in spicy hot!

Ingredients For sherry's awesome pulled pork chili

  • 2 Tbsp
    vegetable or canola oil
  • 2
    onions, chopped
  • 2 tsp
    minced garlic
  • 2
    green bell peppers, chopped
  • 2 tsp
    chili powder
  • 1 tsp
    ground cumin
  • 1
    chili in adobo sauce, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp
    adobo sauce, from chili jar
  • 1
    14.5 oz can diced tomatoes w/ chiles, undrained
  • 2 lb
    already made pulled, shredded pork, i bought refrigerated lloyds pork
  • 1
    16 oz can kidney beans, drained
  • 1
    16 oz can chili beans, drained
  • 1 c
    light sour cream
  • 1 c
    reduced-fat, shredded mexican cheese blend
  • 1/3 cup
    sliced black olives
  • 3 c
    chicken broth
  • 2 tsp
    hot pepper sauce

How To Make sherry's awesome pulled pork chili

  • 1
    Heat oil in 4-quart pan over medium heat. Add onion, green bell pepper, garlic, chili powder and cumin. Cook, stirring, for 5 mins.

    Stir in tomatoes, pulled pork, chicken broth, hot pepper sauce and beans. Bring to a simmer. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 25 mins.

    Stir in sliced olives. Top each serving w/ a dollop of sour cream and a little cheese. Great served w/ cornbread! You'll need it, this is hot!!
