I wanted to make something different. I came up with this dish. They are bakedd breaded pork cutlets. Served with a nice savory onion wine sauce. It is delicious , and lower fat. Enjoy!

1 c
seasoned bread crumbs
3/4 tsp
1 tsp
onion powder
3/4 tsp
garlic powder
2 tsp
2 tsp
ground mustard
1/2 tsp
ground black pepper
1 1/2 - 2 lb
pork sirloin chops or pork loin cut in to cutlets
1 c
egg whites plus 1 whole egg
2 Tbsp
canola oil


3 Tbsp
large onion sweet or yellow
1 1/2 c
low sodium beef broth or stock
1/2 c
wine white or marsala.
salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp
worcestershire sauce
4 Tbsp
all purpose flour

How to Make Breaded Pork with a Savory Wine Sauce By Noreen


  • 1Combine the first 7 ingredients in a bowl Mix well, and set aside for coating Pork.
  • 2Oil foil lined sheet pan with the canola oil. Heat oven to 425 degree's.
  • 3If using pork sirloin chops. No need to cut them.
    Cut Pork loin into pieces length wise. Cut each piece in to 1/4 inch slices. Then cut in to pieces all about the same size.
  • 4Coat each piece of pork with flour. Dip in egg. Dip in crumbs last coating all sides.
  • 5Place on oiled sheet pan, and bake for about 10-12 minutes, and flip over to other side. Cook an additional 10-12 minutes, or until meat thermometer reads 145 degree's.
  • 6While pork is baking. Make the sauce. In a sauce pan. Melt the butter. Add onions and cook until light golden brown and soft.
  • 7Mix in flour. Stir and cook until smooth. Add the broth, wine,worcestershire, salt, and pepper. Continue cooking until mixture boils. Boil snd stir for 5 minutes. This will boil down some of the wine. Salt and pepper to taste.
  • 8Serve sauce over cutlets!
