After my husband suffered a heart attack I had to learn to cook all over again. I created this dish for nights that I need a fast meal. You might like the low fat lower sodium features too. Those making this the first time might want to salt it after completion to cut down on the amount of salt you use.

Ingredients

  • 1 box corkscrew pasta, tri-color
  • 1/2 package broccoli florets, cooked and drained
  • 2-3 tablespoons margarine, soft heart healthy
  • 1\2 cup parmesan cheese, fat-free
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, low-fat, grated
  • 1-2 - chicken sausage, sliced
  • 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder with parsley

How To Make smokey vegetable pasta low fat

  • Step 1
    Boil pasta according to package directions, drain. Turn off heat.
  • Step 2
    Add remaining ingredients. When pasta is drained add the sliced chicken, broccoli, margarine, both cheeses and garlic powder and season with salt just barely to taste or leave plain if you cannot have the salt.
