This recipe has been in my family for many, many moons! I do not know the origin but I'm glad we have it. Easy to make and delicious! Enjoy!

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground chuck
- 1/4 pound ground lean pork
- 1 can whole tomatoes, 28 oz.
- 1 can tomato paste, 12 oz.
- 2 teaspoons garlic salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons oregano leaves
- 1 teaspoon basil leaves
- 2 cups creamed cottage cheese
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 3 packages shredded mozzarella cheese (4 oz each)
- 12 ounces lasagna noodles, no cook ones
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

Step 1In a large Dutch oven or large skillet, cook and stir meats until brown.

Step 2Drain off fat.

Step 3Add tomatoes; break up with a fork.

Step 4Stir in tomato paste, garlic salt, oregano and basil.

Step 5Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat; simmer uncovered 20 minutes or until mixture is consistency of spaghetti sauce.

Step 6Heat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 7In a medium bowl, stir together cottage cheese and 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese.

Step 8Set aside 1 cup of meat sauce and 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese.

Step 9In ungreased baking pan,m 13x9x2 inches, alternate layers of 1/3 each noodles, remaining meat sauce, remaining mozzarella cheese and cottage cheese mixture.

Step 10Spread reserved meat sauce over top; sprinkle with 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese.

Step 11Sprinkle reserved mozzarella cheese across lasagna.

Step 12Bake uncovered 45 minutes. Let stand 15 minutes before cutting into 3 inch squares.
