This recipe makes quite a bit and it warms you up from the inside out on a cold day! It's also perfect for company and doesn't take long to prepare and cook!

Ingredients

  • 1 can shredded beef
  • 1 can beef broth
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 - beef bouillon cube
  • 12 ounces homestyle noodles
  • 5 tablespoons butter
  • 10 ounces cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can mushrooms
  • - sour cream

How To Make grandma's beef and noodle recipe

  • Step 1
    Drain liquid from beef and spoon out any fat you can see at the top.
  • Step 2
    Use a fork to separate the bigger pieces of meat into smaller bites.
  • Step 3
    In a large sauce pan boil the water, beef broth, and bouillon cube. Mix every couple of minutes until the bouillon cube dissolves.
  • Step 4
    Meanwhile in a small saucepan, add the butter and melt on medium heat until browned a bit.
  • Step 5
    Add the cream of mushroom and mix completely. Add to boiling water/broth and mix completely.
  • Step 6
    Add the canned beef and mushrooms and wait for mixture to start boiling again. Then add the noodles and mix entirely.
  • Step 7
    Turn off heat and cover. Cook for 30 minutes or until noodles are soft.
  • Step 8
    Serve with sour cream on top and enjoy!
